Kenneth de Zilwa new chairman of LankaClear

Dr Kenneth de Zilwa has been appointed as chairman of LankaClear, which serves as Sri Lanka’s National Payment Network.

Central Bank Governor Prof. W.D. Lakshman has appointed Dr. Kenneth de Zilwa as chairman of LankaClear for three years with effect from the 1st of June.

Dr. De Zilwa serves as a Senior Consultant at China Harbour Engineering Corporation that is currently spearheading the construction of the Colombo Port City.

LankaClear, which is Sri Lanka’s National Payment Network, functions under the guidance and supervision of the Central Bank.

It facilitates all domestic interbank payments providing a vital service to the country’s banking and financial sector and an important service to the country’s economy.
