Maligakanda Magistrate Lochana Abeywickrema yesterday (29) further remanded former Health Minister Keheliya Rambuwella and six officials, including former Health Secretary Janaka Chandragupta, until March 14 pending investigations into the procurement of a consignment of fake human immunoglobulin, last year.

The Magistrate gave the order last night after the Attorney General’s Department and the lawyers for the lawmaker and other suspects made representations.Earlier in the day, Rambukwella filed a Fundamental Rights petition against the CID, seeking compensation to the tune of Rs. 100 million.
