Humans faithfully keep the distance….
Their faces concealed in masks,
Their eyes widening with fear,
At almost every unfamiliar figure,
Who happens to draw near….
Thus, is the 21st century Bubonic Monster,
Exacting its heaviest price:
The kindness of the human heart.
