Kaveesha and Yasanthi Matale District’s best cricketers

The annual cricket awards conducted by Matale District Cricket Association was held recently with SLC Treasurer Sujeeva Godaliyadda as the Chief Guest. Members of the national cricket team Prabath Jayasuriya and Lahiru Madushanka graced the occasion as Special Guests.

All players, who excelled from under-13, under-15, under-17, under-19 and under-23 age categories, were recognized during the cricket awards.

Yasanthi Nimanthika of Matale District, who represented Sri Lanka Under-19 team recently was named the Best Women’s Cricketer while Kaveesha Liyanarachchi was declared the Best Men’s Cricketer.

The President of Matale District Cricket Association Upali Sirisena, Principals of schools in the district and other officials were present at the occasion.
