Kalinga wins 400 metres with a feat of 45.92 seconds

Sprinter Kalinga Kumarage and Nadeesha Ramanayake were placed first and fourth respectively in their 400 metres races at the Kinami Michitaka Memorial Athletics Meet, a World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze event in Osaka, Japan yesterday.

It is learnt that the Asian Games medallist Tharushi Karunaratne had pulled out from the 800 metres due to a health reason.

Kalinga returned a time of 45.92 seconds for his victory.Ramanayake was placed fourth with a time of 54.02 seconds.
