JVP claims govt. using quarantine laws to suppress political rivals

The JVP yesterday accused the government of making use of quarantine laws to suppress rival political parties.

Addressing the media at the JVP headquarters in Pelawatte, JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva said that the police spokesman had told the media that they would move the courts against the JVP for holding a demonstration near Parliament on Thursday against the Colombo Port City Economic Commission bill.
