Junior boxers undergo training in India

The Boxing Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has sent a contingent of 26 boxers to India to take part in an advanced training programme.

The team consisting of 14 boys and 12 girls will participate in a two-week training camp at the National Boxing Academy in Rohtak, Haryana. During this period, they will train alongside peers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the host country, India.

BASL is planning to send a team of boxers for the Asian Junior Boxing Championship scheduled to be held from August 21 to September 3 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The selection of the final team for this championship will be based on the performances of boxers at the Junior Boxing Championships scheduled to be held in June. The squad accompanied by 7 officials are as follows :
