JSC announces transfer of 54 judges and magistrates next year

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) over the weekend announced the transfer of 54 Magistrates and Districts judges as part of the annual transfer scheme. The transfers will be effective from January 01, 2024.

Accordingly, the District Judges of Kaduwela, Pugoda, Monaragala, Marawila, Kalutara, Matale, Elpitiya, Puttalam, Kilinochchi and Anuradhapura have been moved under the annual transfer procedure. In addition to them, the Magistrates of Homagama, Negombo, Bandarawela, Nuwara Eliya, Batticaloa, Kegalle, Elpitiya, Balapitiya, Medawachchiya, Nochchiyagama, Naula, Anamaduwa, Angunakolapelessa and Kahatagasdigiliya have been transferred.
