Jamieson returns to New Zealand squad for England Tests
Kyle Jamieson, the New Zealand all-rounder, is set for an international return as he was named in the 14-member Test squad to face England in a two-Test series. Jamieson’s last international appearance came against England in the Nottingham Test, when he was forced off the field with a back injury. Missing in action for more than seven months, Jamieson recently played T20 and List A cricket for Auckland.
The New Zealand selectors also retained legspinner Ish Sodhi who finished as the leading wicket-taker in the Test series against Pakistan, picking up 13 wickets. Michael Bracewell, the offspinning all-rounder, is the second spinner in the squad while Ajaz Patel was left out. Skipper Tim Southee, Matt Henry, Neil Wagner, Blair Tickner and Jamieson are the pace options available for New Zealand.
