Jaffna schoolgirl clinches coveted title at Indian reality TV show
The grand finale of Zee Tamil’s popular singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs Season 3’ on Sunday (17th December) concluded with Sri Lanka’s Kilmisha Yaazhisai lifting the winner’s trophy, said a report published yesterday by New Delhi based News9live.com.
It said: Kilmisha Yaazhisai, who hails from Jaffna, Sri Lanka, emerged as the winner for Zee Tamil’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs Season 3’. The grand finale was a blockbuster event as the six finalists, Rikshitha Jawahar, Kilmisha, Sanjana, Ruthresh Kumar, Kanishkar and Nishanth Kavin, battled it out at the Nehru Indoor Sports Stadium in Chennai.
Kilmisha Yaazhisai’s victory makes her possibly the first Sri Lankan to win an Indian reality TV show. The country’s official account on X (formerly known as Twitter) also congratulated the 14-year-old singer’s achievement.
She also took home Rs 10 lakh as cash prize after the audience votes declared her as the ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ Little Champs Season 3 winner.
The third season of Zee Tamil ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ Little Champs was hosted by Archana Chandoke and judged by Vijay Prakash, Srinivas, Saindhavi, and Abhirami.
The show initially commenced with online auditions and after the first round, offline auditions took place in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The judges shortlisted 45 contestants who then competed against each other for a spot in the top 30.
Ruthresh Kumar became the first runner of Zee Tamil ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ Little Champs Season 3. The news was shared by the official Instagram account of Zee Tamil along with a picture of him from the live grand finale.
The caption on the post read, “And The 1st Runner up of Saregamapa Lil’ Champs Season 3 is RUTHRESH…!!! Saregamapa Lil’ Champs Season 3 | Grand Finale(sic).”
Zee Tamil ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ Little Champs is a very popular singing reality show in the Tamil Television Industry and has a dedicated fan base who tune in and vote for the contestants.
