Jaffna remembers burning of its library

Several events were organised in Jaffna on Thursday (01) evening to mark the 42nd anniversary of the burning of the Jaffna Public Library.

Students lit oil lamps at the Jaffna University while a memorial ceremony was held at the Jaffna Library.

A large number of politicians, intellectuals and social activists also joined these events.
