Ivanka, Methvan reach singles quarter-finals

Ivanka Samarasinghe and Methvan Wijemanne reached girls and boys singles quarter-finals of the ITF Junior Circuit Week II tournament now in progress at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo.

Samarasinghe beat Salina Jayesh Vaidya of Singapore 6-4, 6-3 in a second round encounter to secure her quarter-final place.

Wijemanne beat M. Diganath of India 6-2, 6-2 in his second round match to book his quarter-final place.
