IUSF activists dispersed

Police yesterday (06) arrested Convenor of the IUSF (Inter University Students’ Federation) Madushan Chandrajith during a protest at Borella.

The arrest was made after police trained water cannon on protesters when they defied an order to disperse.

Students said the police had violated their right to protest.
