Iranian President’s state funeral: Sabry hands over condolence message to Supreme Leader

A three-member delegation led by Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry, PC, represented Sri Lanka at the state funeral of late President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Dr. Amir Abdollahian of the Islamic Republic of Iran yesterday (22)

Minister Sabry was to hand over the condolence message from President Ranil Wickremesinghe addressed to the Supreme Leader of Iran. Reflecting the close and cordial bilateral relations, the late President and the Foreign Minister visited Sri Lanka last month.

Member of Parliament M.F.M. Asmi and Additional Secretary/Multilateral Affairs and Middle East of the Foreign Ministry U.L.M. Jauhar accompanied the Foreign Minister to Tehran.
