Interim injunction bars Sirisena from functioning as SLFP Chairman

The Colombo District Court yesterday (04) issued an interim injunction, barring former President Maithripala Sirisena from functioning as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

The District Court decision was in response to a complaint lodged by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga. Considering the complaint the court said Sirisena could not hold the post of party chairman pending the case.
