Inner Man in Cold Storage

The expanding multiverse sure does amaze,

Along with Man’s external knowledge base,

But let not this be a reason to celebrate,

For, though knowledge of the physical world,

Seems to be rising on an astronomical scale,

The Inner Man remains shrunk in cold storage,

Proof of this being the human’s zest for crime,

And his uncurbed destructive capability,

But let not Socrates have spoken in vain,

When he thus sagely proclaimed:

‘Knowing Thyself is the beginning of wisdom.’
