Induwara, Udayanga guide Mahinda to semis

Under 19 Tier ‘B’ Cricket  

Skipper Danuja Induwara scored an unbeaten half-century and spinner Arosha Udayanga picked up four wickets as Mahinda cruised to a crushing seven wickets victory over St. Servatius’ in the Under 19 Division I Tier B quarter-final played at Pannipitiya on Wednesday.

Mahinda had a meager total to chase after they reduced St. Servatius’ to 100 runs. In their chase, Induwara scored an unbeaten half-century in 32 balls. His knock included ten fours and a six.

Dinura Kalupahana and Pramesh Madubashana made 20s.

Earlier, Udayanga took four wickets for four runs as he led the bowling attack to bundle out St. Servatius’ within 38 overs. Udayanga bowled three maidnes in his spell (6.1-3-4-4).

Mahinda will now meet St. Peter’s in the semi-final.
