Indigenous Medicine Ministry launches Suwadharani International Ayurveda Magazine
Suwadharani International Ayurveda magazine, which aims to highlight Sri Lankan Ayurvedic practices to a global audience, was launched at Temple Trees recently.
Ministers Namal Rajapaksa, Dinesh Gunawardena, Bandula Gunawardena and Pavithra Wanniarachchi, State Minister Sisira Jayakody and senior management of Bio Extracts (Pvt) Ltd., participated in the ceremony to mark the launch.
The magazine is fully sponsored by Bio Extracts (Pvt) Ltd., which produces ayurvedic herbal medicines under the brand ‘Baraka’.
The magazine is a concept of State Minister Sisira Jayakody, who has taken a keen interest to promote Ayurveda and other indigenous medical practices to the global arena. The magazine was launched in association with Bio Extracts (Pvt) Ltd.
The publication contain articles, opinion pieces and research papers on indigenous medicine, Ayurveda and medicinal properties of various endemic plant varieties which showcase the rich ayurvedic heritage.
