In the spotlight… again
Nethmi Sathsarani was in the spotlight, in The Island, on Thursday, August 20th – our Glam Scene Girl. And, then she became, literally, a star overnight!
She works for web channel, STV Lanka Pvt. Ltd., and they played a major role at the recently held Wedding Show, at the BMICH.
Nethmi took on the role of compere, for her company, and was seen interviewing people, involved in the wedding planning business.
It was her very first assignment, as compere, and, she says, she was thrilled with the final outcome, as she came in for much praise from her bosses, Mr. Hettiarachchi, and Marina Mendis, who, incidentally, also happens to be a professional fashion designer and stylist.
Referring to her Glam Scene photo, in The Island newspaper, she said she was thrilled to see herself in print – for the very first time – adding that it did bring her added fame.
“I’m now very much in demand for many more fashion photo shoots – thanks to The Island.”
Yes, Nethmi is into modelling and does fashion photo shoots on a regular basis.
She did a unique photo shoot, recently, where she is shown modelling in a pair of shorts and a short blouse.
The entire shoot was done, highlighting the colour brownish black!
As an actress, she is featured in a couple of musical videos, which are due to be released soon.
Talking about fashion, Nethmi says her body structure is such that she could wear any kind of outfit and still look good in them!
Her choice in clothes, however, generally revolve around mini shorts, and blouse, or T-shirt, and her favourite colour is blue, she added.
“Yes, my studies are important but I’m also trying to combine my studies with my other likes. I strongly believe that one should enjoy life, and that is exactly what I’m doing at the moment.
“I also love travelling and I’m looking at making an overseas trip once the world has got over this Coronavirus pandemic.
“I was originally thinking of making a shopping trip to Dubai, with my sister, but now Ivan has made me think about Amazing Thailand!”
