(IIMAESL) launches the dedicated Webportal

The Institute of Insurance Motor Assessors and Engineers Sri Lanka (IIMAESL) launches the dedicated Webportal which will be a key turning point in providing wider spectrum of access for its ‘members’ career development, as well as knowledge sharing ability. Notably, the event concurs with IIMAESL’s five-year journey in the industry.
Chairman Engineering Council of Sri Lanka, Eng. Thilak de Silva, was the chief guest at the launching ceremony, organized by the Institute of Insurance Motor Assessors and Engineers Sri Lanka (IIMAESL), and held at the Grand Oriental Hotel, Colombo, on 21st January 2023. Dr. Janaka Jayalath – Deputy Director General of TVEC, Eng., Neil Abeysekera – CEO, Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka, Eng. Ranjith Dissanayake – President Elect, IESL, were also present at the ceremony as guests of honour, whilst Dr. (Mrs.) Bhadranie Thoradeniya – President Elect, Institute of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka, Dr. Upali Jayawardhena – former General Secretary of the Organiza,tion of Professional Association of Sri Lanka, Council member of ECSL, Mr. Udeni Kiridena – Chief Executive Officer of Insurance Association of Sri Lanka, Mr. Pani – Consultant – ECSL, Mr. W. Wijesinghe – Director General of National Apprentices and Industrial Training Authority, Maj Gen Ranjan Jayasekara – Director General – Electrical and Mechanical Engineering – SL Army, were special guests.

With the enhanced features of the system facilitated conducting all events, CPD and technical upgrades with secured member portal and many more amenities, IIMAESL members now have a dedicated area to create a more personalized experience, allowing each member to manage the profile, ensuring that they are always up to date.

Mr. Sudamma Kolitha Chandrasiri, President of the IIMAESL, since 2022, says, “We work closely with our members, and the industry, to define standards and best practices. Through networking, local meetings, seminars and events, we can ensure that IIMAESL represents and meets the needs of the automotive engineer assessors. We also work through obtaining professional registrations to our members whilst meeting the regulatory requirements.”
Jinendra Jayanath, General Secretary, says. “In addition to the technical education provided by the Institute for the prospective assessors and engineers, seminars are also conducted on a quarterly basis, aiming to educate and impart knowledge to our membership on the modern developments and advance technologies of automotive engineering which will undoubtedly pave the way for our members to face any challenges in the automotive field.
“Taking one step forward, today we launch the official web Portal and deliberations and experience of this system will be fruitful and I am confident that all the stake holders will benefit immensely.”
