Gypsies Sunil Perera is no more, but his music is still loved by music lovers in many parts of the world.

What’s so special about Sunil’s creations was the novelty he brought into his songs.

Remember ‘Uncle Johnson,’ ‘Sima Cutwela,’ ‘Kurumitto?’

Sunil stood out because of his ability to create something new, and unusual, in song, for any given situation – good, bad or funny!

Many believe that the present turmoil, in the country, would have been just the right material for the legendary singer to have created another unusual masterpiece that would have generated…laughs galore!

Although Sunil is no more with us, he is still remembered for the novelty he brought into songs, like ‘Kohthamali,’ ‘Ojaye,’ ‘Lunu Dehi,’ ‘Dunne Kiss Ekai,’ and ‘Linda Langa Sangamaya.’

The missing link, whenever the Gypsies now get on stage, is Sunil; the crowds miss him, and so do the present band members.
