IESL Annual Eng. (Dr.) Ray Wijewardene Memorial Oration 2023

Annual Eng. (Dr.) Ray Wijewardene Memorial Oration for this year took place at the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) Auditorium recently (Sept 8). This year’s distinguished speaker was Eng. (Ms.) Lakmini Wijesundera, the Founder and Executive Director of BoardPAC Inc. and IronOne Technologies, delivered an engaging address on the topic, ‘Globalizing Sri Lankan Technology: The BoardPAC Journey.’

The event was a resounding success, drawing an audience of over 200 attendees. Among them were family members of the late Eng. (Dr.) Ray Wijewardene, esteemed IESL members, and individuals from the general public. Their collective presence added a profound sense of significance to the occasion.

The event’s organization was a collaborative effort between the Agriculture and Plantation Engineering Sectoral Committee of IESL and the Eng. (Dr.) Ray Wijewardene Charitable Trust. This partnership ensured the seamless execution of the memorial oration, further honoring the legacy of Eng. (Dr.) Ray Wijewardene and his contributions to the field of engineering and technology.
