Hurling the First Stone

Stones are being hurled at the ‘Fallen Woman’,

By those who found her rise intolerable,

Though knowing fully well in their hearts,

That they too are dogged by such temptations,

And are in no position to talk down to the ‘fallen’,

But let no one confound the Private with the Public,

For, there are issues in this our Nodding Land,

Like the steeply-rising rape of females of all ages,

That are crying shrill to be put right,

But winked at by the puritans of our time.
