Huge heroin haul netted in police raid

Police yesterday (30) took a person into custody along with 40 kilos of heroin with a street value of Rs.400 mn during a raid on a house at Rerukana in Bandaragama.

Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and the Kalutara Division Crimes unit carried out the raid.

Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said that they were investigating the suspect’s involvement in a drug ring operated from the UAE.
