HRCSL asks for copy of Anti-Terrorism Bill
The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has requested President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who also holds Defence and Finance portfolios, to submit a copy of the Bill, titled ‘Anti-Terrorism’, which the Cabinet-of-Ministers had approved recently, according to a statement from the Commission.
The Commission stated it understands that the said Bill is a revised version of the Bill previously gazetted on March 17, 2023.
The HRCSL sent its observations and recommendations to the Bill gazetted in March 2023.
