Honouring the legacy of Rajitha Kuruppumulle, a leader who will be missed

BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Rajitha Kuruppumulle, the COO of BoardPAC Inc and the CEO of IronOne Technologies LLC. Rajitha passed away on the 8th of May, 2023 after a brief illness.

Rajitha was a vital member of both the companies and played an instrumental role in the growth and success of them. His expertise and leadership were invaluable, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was a dear friend and colleague without whom IronOne and BoardPAC wouldn’t be where it is today,” said Lakmini Wijesundera, Co-Founder and Executive Director, IronOne Technologies & BoardPAC. “His strategic insights and ability to execute on complex initiatives were second to none. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.”

Rajitha was a seasoned business leader with over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies, he held various leadership roles at leading technology companies, specializing in management and operational roles. He was known for his strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to build high-performing teams.

During his time at BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies, Rajitha played a key role in the companies’ growth and success. He was responsible for overseeing the companies’ operations, including product development, sales, and customer service. Under his leadership, BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies experienced significant growth, launching new product offerings and expanding their customer base global heights.

“I only had the opportunity to know Rajitha for a short term but it was obvious from the outset he was an exceptional leader, and more importantly, a great person. He welcomed me to the company with open arms, and was always willing to spend time to work through any issue. He brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our company,” said David Rawling, BoardPAC’s CEO. “His dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to excellence were an inspiration to us all. We are deeply saddened by his loss.”

In addition to his professional achievements, Rajitha was also a mentor and role model to many in the industry. He was a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences, and was widely respected for his expertise and thought leadership.

“Our dear colleague Rajitha was one of the most respected leaders in the Sri Lankan tech industry.” said Buddhika Abeygooneratne, a colleague and friend of Rajitha’s. “His impact on our company will be felt for years to come. He was never just a boss, but a leader who was truly committed to grooming his juniors to be ethical and effective professionals. We cannot say how much we will miss him.”
