Holy Cross Payagala clinch Tim Andradi Trophy

The ‘A’ team of Holy Cross College, Payagala emerged champions of the inaugural ‘Tim Andradi’ Challenge Trophy Seven-A-Side Under 14 Football Tournament as the hosts registered a 1-0 victory in the final of the tournament held at Payagala recently.

The victorious team were captained by Tinuka Kavidith.St. Peter’s College, Negombo Branch were the runners-up.

Holy Cross College, Payagala Branch organized the tournament exclusively for under-14 teams from the catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Colombo under the guidance of Rev.Fr. Ruwan Pradeep, the Rector and Dilan de Silva the Prefect of Games of Holy Cross College, Payagala.

The tournament was aimed at nurturing young talents and honor Timothy Andradi, a dedicated benefactor who promoted sports at Holy Cross College, Payagala.Leading Colleges, namely St. Joseph’s College, Wattala, St. Peter’s College, Negombo, St. Peter’s College Udugampola and the hosts took part in the tournament.
