Hiran Cooray’s 25-year Journey with Skal
Skal International Colombo EGM commemorates
Skal organization of travel and tourism professionals, recently held an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) at Cinnamon Red Colombo and celebrated the remarkable contributions and dedication of Hiran Cooray, who has served Skal International Colombo for 25 years.
“We are delighted to present Hiran Cooray with a token of appreciation to celebrate his illustrious journey with Skal and highlighted his exceptional leadership and commitment to the travel and tourism industry in Sri Lanka” said President of Skal Colombo, Dinushka Chandrasena.
Hiran Cooray, an active member of Skal Colombo, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives and projects that have shaped the landscape of the travel and tourism industry in Sri Lanka. Cooray’s visionary leadership and relentless efforts have been instrumental in enhancing the reputation of Skal Colombo and positioning it as a vital player in the global tourism arena.
The guest speaker at the EGM was Shehan Ramanayake – Director of the Tourism Resilience project (USAID/ EU funded project) who gave members and guests some valuable insights on the Pekoe Trail. Ramanayake is tasked with the design development and launch of the Pekoe Trail, a signature experience that would enhance Sri Lanka’s tourism offering.
Skal Colombo was also privileged to have visiting Skaleagues from India, Sanajay Datta, Ranjit Vig and Ganesh Rao (Skal Delhi), Naveed Siah (Skal Srinagar) and Vinay Malhotra – Head Global Sales of Indigo airlines also from Skal Delhi.
