Hesara advances to second round

ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 

Hesara Kuruppu registered 6-3, 6-1 win over India’s Chinmay Mitul Patel in the boys’ singles first round match of the ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 tournament at Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Tuesday.

In the boys’ doubles Vichinthya Nilaweera partnered Zahid Zihar to beat Indian pair Vibnu Challagundla and Arnav Yadav 6-4, 6-1, while Vichinthya’s brother Chathurya joined Kiran Vairavanathan to edge out Australia’s Cristian Care and Lorant Gyori of Hungaria  1-6, 6-1, 10-4.
