Help save KDU medical student’s life
Godakande Arachchige Sasindu Priyaranga of Galle, a former Royalist and currently a Medical student at the Kotelawela Defence University (KDU) has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and has been advised by the doctors to undergo an urgent bone marrow transplant surgery at the Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, India. An estimated amount of Rs. 20 million is required for the surgery to be performed in an overseas hospital. Currently, he is receiving treatment at the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka in Maharagama (Apeksha Hospital) and the related costs for his medical care is a severe financial burden on his middle class parents who are not affluent.
