Helambage century helps Petes even honours  

Under 19 Cricket  

A century by Vishen Helambage helped St. Peter’s even honours against Nalanda in their Under 19 traditional cricket encounter which ended in a draw at Bambalapitiya on Saturday. Put to bat Nalanda did well to post 340 for seven wickets declared as their second wicket pair of Rusiru Vilochana and Sadew Samarasinghe scored big. They added 198 runs for the second and Vilochana top scored with 188 runs inclusive of 25 fours and a six.  In reply, St. Peter’s posted 339 runs thanks largely to Helambage’s knock of 122 runs.
