Haul of Kerala cannabis with street value of Rs 33 mn detected

A coordinated operation carried out by the Navy with the Army and Police Special Task Force (STF) on Monday at Wallipuram, Jaffna led to the detection of over 84 kilos of Kerala cannabis hidden in shrubs adjoining the beach there.

A senior official said troops had found three sacks containing 40 packages of Kerala cannabis with a total weight exceeding 84 kg and 600g.

The gross street value of this stock of is believed to be over Rs. 33 million.
