A dominant half-century from Harmanpreet Kaur, coupled with impressive performances with the bat from Yastika Bhatia and Nat Sciver-Brunt helped Mumbai Indians register their fourth straight win in the inaugural Women’s Premier League. Half-centuries from Alyssa Healy and Tahlia McGrath appeared to be enough initially to inflict the first loss for MI in their campaign but the table-toppers eventually cruised to victory in pursuit of 160 with 15 balls to spare following a century stand.

Brief scores:

UP Warriorz 159/6 in 20 overs (Alyssa Healy 58, Tahlia McGrath 50; Saika Ishaque 3/33) lost to Mumbai Indians Women 164/2 in 17.3 overs (Harmanpreet Kaur 53*, Nat Sciver-Brunt 45*, Yastika Bhatia 42) by 8 wickets.
