Hansadi, Hansana win National Youth Chess titles

Hansadie Aradhya Akuratiya of Ferguson High School, Ratnapura and Haritha Hansana of Rahula College, Matara won the Under 10 girls’ and Under 12 open category titles of the Sri Lanka National Youth Championships 2022.

In the Under 10 girls’ event Akuratiya scored 6 ½ points out of seven as she remained unbeaten. She beat Sethumlee Devhara Palliyage, Buddhima Aravinda Perera, P G Lithumi Hiranya, Meenu Vihansa Hewapathirana, R B Pumudi Hansadi and Hirudini Hehenya and drew with Sasmi Sithumsa in the last round to clinch the National Youth Chess title.

Haritha Hansana of Rahula College, Matara showcased his supremacy in the Under 12 Open age category scoring seven points out of eight.
