Ground staff receive Asia Cup bonus

Ground staff of RPS and Pallekele were given the bonus of US$ 50,000 that they had been promised for the excellent work they did during the Asia Cup.

The bonus cash prize of US$ 50,000 (Rs. 16 million) promised to the ground staff during the Asia Cup has been distributed starting from yesterday.

Ground staff from both Pallekele and RPS received cash donations.

The Asia Cup was marred by inclement weather and the tournament could be completed thanks to the excellent efforts of the hard-working ground staff.

Asian Cricket Council and Sri Lanka Cricket contributed US$ 25,000 each for the bonus.

National Curator Godfrey Dabare distributed the bonus.
