Every one of you must have heard the story of Cindrella, who turned her destiny when gifted with the right pair of shoes. The newly crowned Sachie Sarathchandra, is Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Intercontinental from Polannaruwa is no different.

The girl who began her modelling career from scratch with top designer Brian Kerkovan is today an inspiration to many other women .Sachie, works as a customer service executive at HSBC.

A professional model at Brian Kerkovan’s model management company she was crowned Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Intercontinental recently then she represented Sri Lanka at this prestigious international event in Egypt.

The journey to this title in Sri Lanka was a challenging feat, as contestants underwent a rigorous selection process. Sachie, showcased her charisma, intelligence and grace to win the contest in Sri Lanka to represent Sri Lanka in Egypt C

Her poise, intellect and beauty captivated the judges here , making her to win the crown as Miss Intercontinental Sri Lanka to represent the international pageant in Egypt. She says “This title of winning the Miss intercontinental title gave me the wings to expand my horizon and experience the new breeze. Although I did not win the international pageant I had many experiences and learnt a lot. A sports enthusiast in school she said “I started my career as a model at the age of 19 and joined Brian Kerkovan’s model agency in 2023. Since then I have not looked back I have modelled for some of the best clothing brands and also took part in many ramp shows.I knew nothing when I started my pageant journey but with Brian’s help I have learnt the intracacies of modelling and my parents have been very supportive of my career.

My pageant journey has been amazing with lots of new learning, and realisation within, I believe women are much stronger than they believe and they deserve to be identified, valued and respected for their talent, and I feel a beauty pageant is a perfect platform for the same.
