Google’s Top Stories

If you go back two weeks, to Tuesday, November 17th, you would, undoubtedly, remember my lead story for that week: ‘Local stars express their views…on Biden Vs. Trump’ – https://island.lk/biden-vs-trump/

The stars who made their presence felt, in the article, were Kumar de Silva, Noeline Honter, Sohan Weerasinghe, Benjamin Ranabahu, Suzi Croner (Fluckiger), Dr. Nilanka, and Judy and Kanthie de Silva.

It certainly made interesting reading, although, with the exception of Noeline, the rest backed Joe Biden.

But, what made my effort extra special was that it was picked up by Google and was highlighted, under their Top Stories section, with the article, and The Island, being prominently placed, alongside other famous international newspapers, like The Guardian, The New York Times, BBC, AP News, etc.
