GMOA suspends token strike
The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) has called off their token strike until 09 November after President Ranil Wickremesinghe promised to discuss their issues.
GMOA Secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthge said the President had agreed to meet them on 09 November.
“So, we decided to suspend the token strike until then. However, GMOA members will not be a part of ambulances accompanying VIPs or health camps and clinics organised by politicians,” he said.
