Gateway Kandy overcome Trinity to win the Central Province Basketball Championship

Gateway College Kandy trounced Trinity College Kandy at the Central Province final of the Under 20 National Schools Basketball tournament that was held recently at the University indoor court in Pradeniya. The basketballers of Gateway fought to the very end to be victorious with a narrow margin of 56–50. Gateway Kandy beat St. Sylvester’s comfortably at the semi final with a score of 42–17.

Trinity overcame Gateway at the Under 17 final with a score of 31–11. Under 20 Girls championship was won by Mayamaya College by beating Hillwood College at the final. Gateway Kandy secured the 2nd Runner-up position by defeating Colombo International School (Kandy).
