Ganesha Amarasinghe assumes duties as Matara District Secretary

Ganesha Amarasinghe assumed duties as the District Secretary of Matara on Monday (19).

Amarasinghe, a Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS), received his education at Sri Sumangala Central College, Radampola and Vijitha Central College Dickwella. A graduate of the University of Ruhuna, he obtained his post graduate degree from the University of Kelaniya.

After joining the Administrative Service in the year 2000, Amarasinghe served as Assistant Divisional Secretary Seruwavila in 2001, Assistant Divisional Secretary Hambantota in 2002, Divisional Secretary Hambantota in 2008, Deputy Post Master General of the Sabaragamuwa Province in 2012, Divisional Secretary Kotapola in 2013 and served as an Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Education in 2021 before assuming duties as the District Secretary, Matara.
