Free sanitary pads for female students from April 2024

The Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to the resolution furnished by the Minister of Education to implement a programme to provide sanitary pads to 800,000 female students studying in most remote schools, remote schools, isolated schools, estate schools and urban schools free of charge from April 2024

The total student population in Sri Lanka is 04 million and of this 1.2 million are female students who have attained puberty.
