Four more coronavirus deaths

Four more people had died yesterday due to COVID-19, increasing the death toll to 45, Dr. Asela Gunawardena, Director General of Health Services confirmed.

Among the victims was a 68-year-old woman from Maligawatta. Also a 40-year-old man, a resident of Colombo 11 died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital and the cause of the death is said to be a heart attack triggered by COVID-19.

Kelaniya, who had been undergoing treatment at the Hambanthota District Hospital since November 01 after being diagnosed with the virus. The cause of the death is said to be a heart attack triggered by COVID-19.

Earlier yesterday an 80-year-old male, a resident of Panadura, died on admission to the Police Hospital. The postmortem revealed that the cause of the death as a heart attack triggered by COVID-19.
