Four ancient statues found in pond near Kovil

Wadukkodai Police found four ancient statues in a pond near the Nagarambiran Kovil at Sanganai Odakkarai in Jaffna on Sunday. Police believe that the statues had remaiend buried in the pond for a long time. A group of devotees had noticed one of the statues and informed the police and thereafter police dug them up. Wadukkodai police are conducting further investigations.
