Former CBSL Deputy Governor passes away

The Central Bank, with deep sorrow, wishes to announce the demise of C J P Siriwardana, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL). He passed away at the age of 62, on February 24.

Siriwardana functioned as Deputy Governor of the CBSL from 2017 to 2018. With over 31 years of service at the CBSL, he was especially experienced in the areas of Economic and Price Stability, Financial System Stability and Agency Functions.
