A senior spokesperson for the Bureau told The Island that over a period of time they had received about 50 complaints against the arrested owner of the job agency. The main suspect was identified as a resident of Paragahadeniya, Kurunegala.

According to him, though the SLFEB suspended the license issued to the agency owner following several cases of misappropriation of money, subsequent complaints revealed he continued to collect money promising foreign employment.
