For the first time in Sri Lanka, Doc990 introduces Digital Health Services via Amazon’s Alexa
Introducing the next frontier for conveniently accessing healthcare services from home, Doc990, Sri Lanka’s pioneering digital health solutions service provider, powered by Dialog Axiata PLC, extended Amazon Alexa Voice Command Support for digital health services for the first time in Sri Lanka.
This new feature enables customers to easily access the Doc990 services with simple voice commands via Alexa, which can be accessed via Android, iOS with Alexa app and Alexa-supported home devices. Users can simply channel a doctor or book an appointment via Alexa and instantly add the total cost to their Dialog mobile postpaid monthly bill, deduct from their prepaid balance, or pay via their credit/debit card, genie, eZ Cash etc.

Doc990, operated by Digital Health Private Limited, offers medical services to subscribers from the convenience of their mobile phones. Launched in 2016, Doc990, a subsidiary of Dialog Axiata PLC, connects users with more than 5,000 doctors in over 140 hospitals through its digital health platform which is accessible to users via www.doc.lk, by dialling 990 or via the Doc990 app, available on Android and iOS. Doc990 offers a range of medical services including doctor channelling sessions at hospitals island-wide for physical consultations while connecting users virtually with qualified Doctors, quality pharmacies and laboratories through digital health tech, with the aim of transforming the delivery of integrated healthcare through home-based solutions.
