Five persons seriously injured in SUV-fuel bowser collision

Five persons were seriously injured and admitted to the Dickoya Base Hospital after their SUV collided with a fuel bowser on Saturday night.

The accident occurred at the Dimbula Pathana junction, on the Hatton – Nuwara Eliya road around 10 pm.

The SUV, travelling from Norwood to Talawakelle, collided head on with the fuel bowser plying the opposite direction from Welimada to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation’s warehouse complex at Kotagala.

The injured have been identified as residents of Norwood. They are aged between 20 and 30.
