Fifteen men arrested with drugs on their way to Sri Pada

Police have arrested 15 youth with drugs in their possession on their way to Sri Pada.

During a raid conducted by the Hatton Police Anti-Vice squad, the police found heroin, cannabis, cannabis mixed tobacco and a stock of beedies illegally imported to Sri Lanka

The suspects between 20 and 30 years of age are residents of Colombo, Galle, Anuradhapura and Kurunegala.

When the suspects were produced before the Hatton Magistrate’s Court, the Magistrate ordered them to appear before the court today (28) and released them on personal sureties.
