FIA Region II Ideas Forum held in Bangkok
Federation Internaionale De L’Automobile (FIA) Region II organized an Ideas Forum for its members in Thailand from March 23rd to 25th. This was a one day Forum, especially to explore business generating ideas for clubs in the region and also on how clubs can better collaborate, review “start- up” ideas and work towards new business projects.
It was a knowledgeable, effective forum with presentations by Chris Nightingale, Managing Director of Ponda on the subject of the results of the Region II Capacity building Scoping Study. Ian Stone, chair of the FIA University & Business Consultant enlightened the audience with insights with capacity building in the Region and resources available to clubs through the FIA University Mentoring Programme and the AA Philippines discussed their tourism. In the open forum it was discussed how each club in the region could promote reciprocal benefits for their sister clubs when they visit these clubs. It was also emphasized that all clubs in the region should promote travel & tourism in their sister clubs after the Covid pandemic. It was also discussed to promote the “Fly & Drive” concept among the members.
All delegates who attended this forum were invited to the 44th International Motor Show in Thailand organized by Motor Sports Club of Thailand (RAAT) at Impact Exhibition and Convention Center Thailand.
