Festive time is here again…

Yes, as the month of December draws near, I’m reminded of the song ‘Christmas Time Is Here Again’ by the Beatles.

Yes, we do have lots of exciting Christmas events coming up – mixing of the Christmas cake, lighting of the Christmas tree at five-star venues, etc.

The Mount Lavinia Hotel had their Christmas tree lighting ceremony last Sunday (26th November).

It certainly was a night of enchantment, with captivating performances by Catholic schools and Church choirs, cocktails, live jazz and fireworks display.

The Galadari Hotel will be lighting up their scene on Sunday, 3rd December.

A few weeks later, Roger Menezes, who now resides in Australia, will be in town to entertain guests patronizing the Galadari Hotel.

He will be featured at The Lobby, from 21st December, 2023, to 7th January, 2024 – every Thursday to Sunday.

Roger is a versatile entertainer and the golden oldies era will be a big scene with Roger in action.

For the record, Roger played with many top bands in Sri Lanka, including the Savages, Thunderbirds, Fireflies, and the Jetliners.
